According to Andy's Instagram comments it's made up of a range of 3-7yo malts.
To add to this, these were all matured in Virgin Oak so this is really quite unique as far as Three Ships goes.

The actual whisky is great, the initial hit is quite grassy but the finish is smooth and luxurious, sweet like a creme brulee, best finish and mouthfeel I've had so far on a Three Ships whisky. Adding some water and time brings out a lot of spiciness and makes it more like a bourbon. I preferred it before adding water. Very easy drinking either way.

I really think PNP got a winner here, and I think it's a shame Checkers didn't buy more casks to produce a bigger batch of Bourbon Cask Cask Strength whisky...

Had my old man over yesterday and my exact words to him were "this tastes like a Bourbon". He was so impressed that he is going a buy a bottle today lol.

Not bad...but very sweet. Too sweet for my taste with very little other distinctive flavors, apart from the virgin oak. Should've bought just the one bottle.

At least with a good bourbon or Tennessee Whiskey you get other flavors apart from just sweetness. Maybe this will work as a Highball or a Whisky Sour...

Any idea of where I can still find stock of the Three Ships Virgin Oak? I am back in CPT on Wednesday, I placed an online order as well as a back up, but not too convinced it will come through.
