Gonna try Bains this weekend.
Is it similar to Bells? If so I will give it a pass

We all have different palates . Bains whiskey is highly acclaimed by whiskey critics over seas. IMHO Bains is a great whiskey. In contrast my palate is not really suited for Two Key's or Bells.....maybe with soda water and ice.

Yep. I've yet to meet a whisky yet that I wouldn't drink. Not every whisky is of the fine sippin' variety so use in a long drink where they all taste the same anyway.

But in a tall drink, brandy and rum are still better.

Well, I do enjoy a branners and coke to be fair, but whisky and soda is my go to these days since I gave up on drinking cool drink :)

Yes, I have too. Because sugary drinks have given me a slight boep.

But it still can't be beaten for taste.

Humans are hardwired to like sweet things a lot.

I've moved towards savoury the last 6 months after radically changing my diet, but good grief I've got the worlds worst sweet tooth.

Keeping things on topic...

/sips a cheeky wee Glenfiddich 12
