Got one of these as a thank you

HAIG CLUB - Single Grain Scotch Whisky

Not sure what to do with the flask thing...

That Glenfiddich looks to be quite an old bottling, where did u find that?

I visited the distillery about 10 years ago - they were printing customizable labels there as well, so got the 15yr old at the same time.

You fill it and take it to the movies.
Not a bad idea, but I don't have any friends that are that boozy.

Fill and use as aftershave?
Then I can smell like whiskey 24/7. What could possibly go wrong.... :D

Anyway that whiskey, despite decent price (700ish) was kinda underwhelming. The doppie on top seems to be made out of solid copper though which I thought was interesting

I have a bunch of whiskey given to me by my father in law when he moved and I am not a whiskey drinker. Would anyone be interested in buying some? I have the following:
Chivas Regal - 12 year 3.78L
11 x Bells Christmas porcelain decanter
2 x Cutty Sark - 12yr
1 x Glen Moray - 12yr
1 x The Balvenie - 12yr
1 x Bells millennium - 8yr
1 x 1974 knockando justerini and brooks
1 x J&B 3L bottle on stand
1 x Clan Campbell 5yr 4.5L on a stand

Let me know if anyone is interested and make an offer

Depends on the prices I would be interested in the Balvenie

To be honest, I have no idea what this stuff costs. I just checked online and it details for R900. What can you offer?

Same here, the Balvenie just caught my eye but I honestly have no idea what they go for but will have a look.

I see they go for around R850 which is a bit above my price range at the moment but its a nice collection you have there.

So my brother in law is coming from the UK to visit. He wants to bring a nice whisky with, something which we cant find here.

Any suggestions? Anything except a peaty whisky.

To be honest, most of the affordable good stuff you can buy off the internet locally. Best bet would be to save a bit at duty free and bring in something you know and like but is a bit pricy after duties?

I hear that they have Bookers in the UK duty-free, bourbons are in such short supply in SA. Also, Bunnahabhain usually has some nice travel exclusive releases. Just not the cruach mhona, that's peated.

Are they unopened?
Where are you based?
Can you take photos?

Tried this last night. Its good but not great, would give it a 3.75 out of 4. They suggest flavours of Candy floss and Licorice, didn't get that but did get notes of bourbon, must be from one of the blends being in american oak. Like that they are experimenting though. Will see ho the next one goes.

Had the IPA experiment a couple months ago was around the same score I bought some IPA beer to pair with it. The beer paired well but you couldn't really get any hoppy notes on the nose as they suggested.
