Bottleshop ardbeg 15% off.

With Bottleshop's inflated prices, that discount is lame at best. Just a trick to make you buy because you think you're getting a deal.

Ardbeg An Oa is R755 at Takealot standard

Bottleshop R899 - 15% "discount" R764

Cracked the grooves. It's nice but will need some more time with it. At this stage I think I like the an oa more. You certainly get the charred cask flavours. I like the nose. I'd certainly be an advocate for trying it. For the same money I'd probably pick the uigeadail over grooves.

Totally agree. For me Grooves is like Ardbeg light. It smells amazing but the taste was very underwhelming.

Uigeadail will always be my favourite but for the price An Oa is much better than Grooves IMO.

Yep, I've mentioned this before.

And this R899 price for the An Oa is even indicated as marked down from R 1 325....

You get the Uigeadail for R300 cheaper at Makro as well.

The Corryvreckan shows marked down from R 1 499 to R 1 299 at Bottleshop, but you can get it also at Markro for R 1 149.

Looks like they buy from Makro and sell to us...

I use Bottleshop, Whisky Brother and Aficionados for the rarer stuff, but shop around for a long time before pulling the trigger.

If you have not gotten your hands on a bottle of this you are seriously missing out. Absolutely superb. I'm a big fan of Andy Watts and this is just amazing.

Where did you find it? I want one - specially since it's said to become a collectors bottle.

You can phone their customer care. They should be able to help.

Latest update, yesterday:

Good Afternoon Luben,

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately there is no Sedgwick in Johannesburg at the moment.

The Sedwick is on its way to our Distribution Centers in Johannesburg and will be in our DC the end of the week. When it arrives in our DC it will take up to 2 weeks to get to the stores.

There is one bottle at Checkers Zevenwacht. My budget does not allow R699 for a bottle at this stage. :(

This is really good. Some bourbon influences. Definitely something to try.

Lots of heat in the finish. Hallmarks of a young whisky and the acellerated maturation process of a warmer climate. Of course the 54.6% ABV plays its part

Never heard of this but quite interested, where do you buy it. Love the old school label.
