You the third person to tell me that.... but the lure of the "limited edition".....
I'd rather spend that money on a limited edition single malt of your choosing from a brand you like. If value doesn't hold, you can at least drink it and enjoy it.

JW version of "limited edition" is a few hundred thousand bottles.

For that kind of money you can buy a huge amount of excellent Whiskies.

Don't be bamboozled by marketing and pretty bottles...

Yeah, am pretty much over JW these days.

I user that site for refernce only.
They don't ship to SA.
They charge 54 Euro per term for membership.
So the $50 "free" Whisky is just bait. You'll probably have to spend $500 first or something...but as they don't ship here this is all moot.

Use MoM to buy from overseas rather.

Have you used MoM before? Do you need to pay import tax and liquor tax?

Jip I use them often.

And yes you do have to pay VAT and duties.

That plus shipping become quite expensive.

I ordered 4 bottles recently.

The booze cost: R 2 832.24
Shipping: R 907.21
VAT & duties: R 878.68

I hope you get it. They have been extremely k@k recently. I've stopped using them completely.
Ey glad I wasn't the only one who's had a shitty experience then. My order took a while, but eventually did arrive with their apologies.

FCK..... now i read this..... Let's see how it goes. I'll be in their province next month if a petrol bomb needs to be flown.

Thanks for the info - I figured as much. They have a nice Gin I enjoyed in Scotland, but not available locally. I guess I'll have to get a couple of friends to order things with me to make the shipping cost burden a bit less :p
VAT and duties sure take a big chunk as well!

Nah TBH my order did arrive, all in order just like it should have been, it just took some exchanging of words to get it done.

EDIT: To put it this way, their prices and ease of use made it worth it for me. Even with the issues I'll order from them again, I'll just do a quote with stock check before I order again.
