Reason I ask is the question came up the other day when I started drinking whisky neat and it was around the time I cut out sugar from my coffee.

Also found that the people I've tried to introduce to whisky who don't enjoy it are normally the Frisco with four sugar people.

Depends on the mood and coffee. Sometimes I take a half a teaspoon of brown sugar. Sometimes just a sweetener pill. Sometimes milk, sometimes not. Depends on what I'm in the mood for - same with my whisky.

Why would you throw brown sugar or milk in your whisky?

I had what I thought was Chivas in my decanter, must have been something else then.

Haven't had Chivas in years.

You won’t smell smoke off it and knowing you like the Irish stuff, I think you’d like Chivas.

If you like Irish, why not stick to it? I'm a relatively big fan of Bushmills, actually.

People who come to my house and ask for ice in their whisky get shown the door instantly
I indulge those people, but they just don't get the "good stuff" then. Cheapies for them.

Dammit man. I was close to your house when I read this post.

I only add one small cube of ice in all of my whisky's.

Black Bush is such unbelievable bang for the buck. Love the stuff.

Anyway, I'm a neat, at room temperature guy, except when drinking cask strength on which occasion I may add a splash of filtered water.
