Aaah...Corry. What a dram!! One of the best Ardbeg's ever.

And at 57.1% be careful.

Friends and us were sitting at my dining room table one evening after dinner and I have had a few of my selection already.

I leaned over, grabbed the Corry, splashed a substantial dram into my glass and took a swig...the rest, as they say, is history.

When I was in dullstroom, I tried two octomores, the sazarec rye and the corry. It was the corry that left the biggest impression on me that is one of the fav tasted to date! I am only getting it now because when I wanted to get it the WB had their special release 3 ships 7 years and picked that up rather due to the limited edition nature. So its time has now come to get added to the collection!

Funny thing that I thought you Ardberg devotees might enjoy. I just finished reading a novel set in the west of Scotland and they talked about Corryvreckan whirlpool, a whirlpool off Jura which is as dangerous as it is wondrous.

I never knew of it until now, and believe it or not but I used to do sea canoeing not so far from there when I was at school. Thought I’d I’d share in case anyone finds it interesting.

As an added titbit, George Orwell nearly died in it and had to swim to shore with his son after their boat capsized. He wrote 1984 shortly after on the island he washed up on.

Yeah well you made a good choice it's sold out now :p! I am actually surprised it went so quick but I know some enthusiasts went for up to 4 bottles each!!!

Found the Auchentoshan Three Wood at my local PnP Liquor on Saturday on special at R380. Haven’t tried it yet.
