That Quinta Ruban is well priced, wow.

Some more good deals.

Dalmore 12yo with nice glasses! - R819.00 (About R1000 at most places and with no glasses)

Dalmore 15yo with glasses - R1400

Dalmore Cigar Malt - R1700 (Around R2000+ where available)

Smokehead High Voltage - R959

That Cigar Malt..... shuuuu.....

Not a bad whisky - especially for the price you got it at.

When I got my very first pay cheque I splashed out at the Oyster Box here in Durban (Umhlanga). I ordered this, like an idiot, without confirming the price and ended up paying a cool R200ish for the dram. Yuck.

Getting it at R499 is a no-brainer.

A nice win at Checkers. Glen Scotia Double Cask with 2 nice glasses for R499. Used an ebucks R500 voucher I paid R300 for so winning all the way. According to WB it goes for R780

I don't care much for double cask but Checkers Cape Gate has a few still (next to the Loch Lomond bottles but a bit obscured) at the xtra savings card special which should be R450 or less.
They used to have such a nice Whisky selection, but then it went down hill :(

Arrived from NGF today...
The An Is which comes with the BBQ smoker.
I'm a sucker for fancy/unique bottles and cases

Both the Checkers stores in Hermanus have sparse pickings of the decent whisky since they opened again. Used to get some nice stuff and the odd bargain, but this lockdown nonsense is playing havoc with everyone's stock. Even the big central display case in one of the stores that had all the pricey stuff has been removed,
