Good stuff, thanksI had the batch from last year and it was quite enjoyable. Also had it on tap at Jack Black last week and was very good, and I'm not the biggest fan of stout, except if it is Guinness

Love that glass! So the glasses arrived today. Let me start by saying I love Reidel stemware and have used their stuff for years. 99% of my glasses are their products.
The Veritas range are at the higher end, and these are really superb. Nice to use so far. Downside, the stems are VERY long as you can see relative to the whisky bottles.
@MightyQuin this STR is rather good!

Bit rough....The S&S Caol Ila is on WB now at R2,660......
Bit rough....
Way out of my price rangeI'd rather buy the Big Peat 27yo - the Black Edition off MoM. Much better value and best in the range.
But these 2 are sold out all over the place so reasonably rare...
Mostly consumed in sa by anc youth league and eff. Since they drink it for show and don't know the difference local distributors started cutting it with horse pi$$. All connoisseurs know to avoid it now. you must have missed the memo.Yeah I also noticed that with the higher up johhny. I once won 12k in the casino so I celebrated buying a shot of johnny blue, my word horrible

was replying to a post waaaaay back in thread where a number of posts slagged off the more expensive Johnny walker brands, esp the blue. I'm suggesting it is diluted with horse pi$$ to screw over those who drink it for show.Say what now?
Well that is horseshit TBH.was replying to a post waaaaay back in thread where a number of posts slagged off the more expensive Johnny walker brands, esp the blue. I'm suggesting it is diluted with horse pi$$ to screw over those who drink it for show.
yes. i forgot the /sWell that is horseshit TBH.
JW is not the best and is overrated most of the time, but is definitely not diluted/watered down by local distributors as you initially "suggested".
That is quite the inflammatory post with not even anecdotal evidence to support it.
Also not really what this thread is about...
