Yes, most competent white people affected by AA / BEE emigrate, and some other country picks up the benefits from the hundreds of thousands of rands spent on subsidising their education.

But this is a complicated concept to understand, it's certainly way beyond the mental capabilities of the ANC !

i've dealt with BEE before, i was once even mistaken for an indian over the phone and told by the lady that she's sorry, she made a mistake and that they were only looking for white candidates. i corrected her and then she told me i'm welcome to come in for an interview then, which i turned down.

the thing with BEE wasn't to kick white people out of employment, it was to make it appealing to hire a black candidate over a white candidate because of the past. 15 years later this is silly as we have enough black business owners and owners of other races, and they should make a decision on who they want to hire without anyone getting preference or benefits over the other.

i know some people that get fantastic jobs, i know some people who stay in ruts and hope from lame job tolame job. there is no universal law for job hiring or employment seeking in this country, or any country. some people emmigrate, i've never earned more than R20 000 in my life so how can i comment on higher earning jobs? but with all my experiences it's come down to people and clients
 
Have you looked in the employment sections of the papers and seen how many jobs are ONLY for AA candidates ? Typically only Black.

have you ever gone online and looked for how many employers require someone with a drivers license? who is bilingual? who has 5 years experience? who has relevant degrees? who has to relocate? BEE is the least of some people's worries, especially mine :)

on most websites they have a little filter anyway where you can say "non-BEE candidates". they might as well just say they want a white man for the job then. and how many people get jobs through knowing somebody who knows somebody?

Those are just job qualifications, not a disqualification based on the colour of your skin !

Looks like all's going according to plan then! Gvt makes everyone equal by dragging everything down to a common level while pushing a small elite group up. Too fscking dumb to pass school? No problem, let's drag the requirements down! Tired of waiting to be uplifted? Still a problem of course but maybe the issue will seem less obvious if we drag everyone down! And so on and so on...

The only thing not being toned down is the level of blame for the past which will no doubt remain at an all time high until the end of time.

have no skills that they can offer others? and are you telling me 650 000 black people got preference over these 650 000 white people but can't do their job?

i can understand some things, like some not being able to study, some being wives, some not having relevant transport or decent bank accounts, but why is this solely a white issue then? i can bet you more than a million black people have this problem, and we can bitch about our tax payers money going these slackers but they're in the same situation and NOT being hired because of BEE just because they're black.

despite how stupid and ridiculous BEE is(and i know plenty of examples where posts have been left empty because no black candidates could fill it, rather than appoint a white person, but i also know examples of white people refusing to promote black people despite being the best candidate), but the general idea is to hire someone who can do the job. people are not going to hire a baffoon simply because he is black. they may higher him despite him having less exeperience, but in the end it's what they're looking for, like i said, they don't have to hire someone based on BEE as many companies are hiring people based on their knowledge.

NO party should do it, and i'm not going to excuse the VF+ from doing it just because the ANC does it all the time. you might as well use the logic "well, black people rape and murder white women all the time, so it's okay when white men rape and murder black women."

LOL, the VF+ are a bunch of turds. Problem is that the FV+ is not the only party that does this. Race is, and I fear will always be a big part of politics in all parties because unfortunately race is still a very big part of SA'n people. But it wont help that the ruling party is still pushing for policies based on race. The VF+ is the symptom, to cure the problem you have to attack the cause.

Exactly, many parties are virtual sewers. But the biggest sewer is the ANC as far as I'm concerned.

Ronjay, i just misinterpreted the "our people" thing, it's cool. i feel both parties are being immature turning this into a race issue, because while race does matter, you don't have to just feed one side of the story to support yoru race
