White SA refugee: Govt disgusted

I hope that this will teach the South African government a lesson, but I doubt it. We arrived in Canada yesterday, the welcome by the immigration authorities and the strangers on the street was incredible. People we don't even know welcomed us home.
 
How do one apply for refugee from here ?

I want to bookmark it for future reference :D. You never know when we'll need it. Seeing that [Mal]lama , Affirmitave action is not going to stop (and only increased) , what is the use of staying...

It's like our guvament doesn't want skilled white people in the country (SHOCKING)!!!
Edit: They can keep the house and monetary . I will work for a house like I do now :D.
 
Wonder what the ANC would be saying if it was a black man instead of a white man. Something like

"We fully agree with the Canadian govt. on their decision. We support their choice and hope to see more of it in the future"

This refugee business is nonsense, and you all know it. In a country where white people hold 80% of the wealth and jobs, to claim you need refugee status elsewhere is ridiculous. The judge who said this person would "stick out like a sore thumb anywhere in South Africa" has obviously never been to South Africa and has definitely never been to Cape Town! I call BS, the guy tried his luck and succeeded, but the Canadians are incorrect that his life is in danger because he is white...

Well tbh I'd be quite worried if I couldn't afford to live in a decent area, pay for private security etc.

Reality check: You are saying that a white man can walk into any shabeen and nobody will bother him? (please don't try this at home, chances are you may not even make it to the shabeen) :D

Reality check: Most of south africa isn't any shabeen. He hardly needs refugee status in another country - all he needs to do is not walk into any shabeen, like I don't! Maybe there are no ghetto areas in canada, I don't know, but chances are that there are less safe areas there for mr huntley to go too.

I would too, but my life is not in danger because I'm white.
Most crime victims here are actually non-white.

Chances are Mr Huntley is educated and is perfectly capable of making a living for himself here. Over there, of course, as a refugee he gets given accommodation, clothing, food, help in finding employment and becoming self-supporting and other 'resettlement assistance'. Maybe he's just useless and can't cope on his own...
 
Um, people get mugged in a street full of people and at robots in broad daylight. And besides, I'm not gonna walk through a suburb that is known for having gangsters (Manenberg, Hanover Park) but just because you live in Claremont, Constantia, Bishops Court etc. doesn't mean you're safe.

Canada is waaaaaay safer.

Most crime victims here are actually non-white.

Mr Huntley's assertion that he is being persecuted for being white is false.
His assertion that he would stand out like a 'sore thumb' due to his colour in any part of the country is false.

Canada being waaaaaaay safer is true.
 
You missed the point! Not even poor white man dare to 'visit' the 'location'. Sometimes they venture there (to the outskirts) to buy dagga and they return without clothes :D A white man in a black area is fair game. In J.Selebi's words 'finish and klaar'. Mind you, he has become fair game even in his own house :D that's a fact. Read the news papers if you don't belive me :D
 
The point is that if whites are being persecuted and murdered for being white then why am I earning a decent salary, living in a nice flat, going out for cocktails on the beach?
I certainly don't feel like I'm being persecuted.
Which isn't to say I haven't been a victim of crime, I have, but I don't need refugee status in Canada because of it.
I have a good quality of life here.
According to Mr Huntley, it is not possible for a white person to live here without being raped and murdered for being white.

Note that refugee status in Canada is not given to someone because the country they come from is dangerous.
It's given when someone can’t return to that country because of a well-founded fear of persecution based on:
* race
* religion
* political opinion
* nationality or
* membership in a particular social group, such as women or people with a different sexual orientation.
I live in this country and do not feel persecuted because I'm white.
If anything, I'm doing quite well. As are most white people here.
