erm yahI jailbroke mt iPad 2, and if the appstore in SA remains as crap as they are, then I will jailbreak my NewiPad too. Admittedly, the apps are rediculously cheap, and i support buying all apps, but when your ID is south african on the appstore, then there is only crap n sale.
I love the US software market, you can buy anything you want.
Since I jailbroke my iPad, it has been a dream. I can install ANYTHING for mahala! It is much more customizable and you can enrich its features much more via Cydia.
Ofcourse, people will give you crap but it is almost like an Intel pc user....INTEL INSIDE, IDIOT OUTSIDE...
Learn how the software operates and then it is fool proof on warranty! My jailbroken iPad has been fixed and replaced under warranty in SA. No it was hardware issues with the mic...not caused by software
