I was suppose to have for breakfast for work but I forgot to pack my bread slices this morning :laugh:
 
Just a heads up to all fish paste lovers, I heard that fish paste will be discontinued by supplier from 15 December.
Both Redro and Pecks belongs to Pioneer and they could not find a buyer after 6 months tender.
So stock up from supermarkets while you still can.

How long does this stuff last once it's opened? I had to throw some away the other day.

Jir first it was HP Sauce and Lea & Perrins, then Simba Tomato chips, now this ****ery.
Next thing I know PepsiCo is going to send a rep to my house to kick me in the balls :(
 
Love-Hate relationship with the stuff.
Absolute love it on burnt toast, and will make a few slices vanish in a flash.

A friend of mine in London tagged me in a recipe to make fish paste (Redro style) - thanks to Facebook's stupid timeline shenanigans I can't find the post, but here's a linky to a similar one:

It must be noted that it will take a bit of trial & error to get the combo right - the recipe I've seen come closest was something like:

2 parts Pilchards in tomato sauce
1 part anchovy in oil
Salt, Fine Pepper (Red & Black) - to taste
Wheat Flour (for binding)
Water (if needed)
* Some sources say you should add some Mackerel, others point to Salmon...
