Who here eats Fish Paste?

… "And what's the secret that makes your celeb ice-cream so special?", the interviewer ventured.

Without the slightest hesitation the celeb chef answered: "Fishpaste. Peck's Anchovette Fishpaste".

Bull**** … … ... really, U serious?!?!

I swear, I've looked for it at 4 different PnP's and Spars and it wasn't on the shelves.

Wont find curry fish inna can either.... nooo idea why not would love to know.

Use to buy curry fish in a can during my bachelor life and add some of my own curry while I heat in pot.

I Love canned curried fish.

I have purchased PnP's in-house, deli section curried fish but they don't cook it long enough for the bones to be soft enough.

Also toast with canned sardines (in oil) with sliced tomatoes underneath with lots of ground pepper on top … with a baked egg on the side ... that's Saturday morning food.

The good thing about canned anythings is that they cooked it in the can. So it keeps for the most part it's structural integrity.

Off topic here, but those thin flat canned sardines
Onions, garlic, chilies, curry leaves cooked till soft, then Add the CLEANED sardines ( you scrape the gunk of the inside as well as the skin and any scales). Fresh white bread, buttered, sardines chutney smeared on.........heaven

There ain't no gunk inside a sardine! Just mash it all up and away you go!. The bones are so soft they mash away and are high in calcium. The "gunk" is actually loaded with Omega -3 oil and vitamines.

Every time I open this topic, I discover more and more gross things I never even thought were possible.

Can’t help myself, I keep on opening it though!

I have a deep hatred for sardines, tin fish, anchovies, fish paste, fish soup. Simply makes me want to vomit.

I don’t even like tuna in cans.

Dude, you need to go see someone about this. You are pushing people away.
