Who here eats Fish Paste?

Mmmmm, on a slice of toast great, hang on need to make more toast.....

Now that was tasty, uhm give me a minute need to make more toast....

I get a fish paste craving sometimes. Looks like squashed guts but don't care, it's pretty good.

Wish they sold it in like a single serving little plastic container... I think it's something like use within 5 days of opening.

Even the smallest jar goes half to waste if I buy it just to satisfy a craving.

I buy the small ones as well. Two servings of 4 slices with lots of marge. Yummy. And it's one of the few things that still come in a glass container.

Fish is practically a vegetable,, however fish that definitely aren't vegetables are usually fresh. Fresh Kabeljou (or Bacalhau), Tuna, Monkfish, Sardines, Caviar, Lobster and Crab clearly aren't vegetables.
Borderline vegetables are Snoek (in whatever form, pickled dried or smoked, fresh Hake and fresh Kingklip, Yellowtail in various forms, sea mushrooms AKA oysters and fresh Anchovies.
Any fish that is processed falls into the vegetable category, this includes Anchovy "paste".
Some vegetables are cool though, like asparagus. Pecks' Anchovy paste on buttered toast is like that.
The rest are veggie spreads, and can be relegated to the likes of pilchards in a can, "fish fingers", canned tuna, and "mechanically harvested" chicken.
Wedwo is kak, and in fact does not even deserve to be mentioned, unless we are discussing the semi-practical uses of fish entrails and carcasses.

I love fish paste. So yummy...
Haven't had it in awhile come to think of it.
Need to pop out to the shops now.
