Who is running Windows Vista?

Hey guys.

Yeah, long story short really.. ive been forced to load Windows Vista due to me not currently having XP (a working version).

I must be honest ive tried Vista like 4 or 5 times already all the way since RC 1 5200 Build if I can remember correctly.

It was totally rubbish but so far this time around everything is working well. I haven't played games at all yet.. which is fine since I dont play anything anymore, but otherwise all is good. This is the first time ive run Service Pack 1 as well. I had some issues with my network adapter but that seems to have been fixed since Service Pack 1.

I still only have 1GB of RAM on this system which I want to upgrade but I cant find any 1GB DDR2-533 Modules for this old board.

Who else is currently running Windows Vista and what u think compared to a year ago when it was launched?
 
i think its ok .... no complaints this side ... initially did find it a lil lethargic ... but happy now ... games run great too

You can also use higher DDR2-modules (667 or 800) instead of 533 MHz.
 
Vista Business 32.

Since SP1 running like a beaut.
Love the fact that it normally finds its own drivers
 
I run Vista Business. I was happy with it t first but after 6 months of using it I have picked up on so many issues it would take a documentary to list them. I am not loving it...
 
I use Vista ultimate and it runs better after service pack 1. Have no problems with it. I'm using Xp and Vista on my pc :)
 
I replied to another post along these lines recently, and got @#$%ed on from a height, so I'm reluctant to say again how much I like Vista...
 
running vista 64 bit loving it

dude your 1gb of memory will make it run rather slow though

get more memory
 
Yeah. Ill go out today to get 2x 1GB DDR 667 sticks if it will run in my mobo that only supports DDR2 533
 
I'm running Vista Premium 32 on my notebook, runs fine Aero and all with 1gig ram, I even rum Half life Source on it haha, just run it in XP mode...
I googled which old games are Vista friendly...:p

I run these on 4 machines. Last 3 run in Win Classic themes (Win 2K look). I specifically downgraded my Toughbook to XP
(I still have Vista Business for it but will never install it).

When reinstalling XP, the vista partition gave me boot-up problems so I just deleted it yesterday. Haven't used it in ages. Waiting for games which really need vista to look purdy...
SP1 is actually the full release of vista ;)
 
I'm running Vista Premium on my laptop and haven't had any real problems aside from the very occasional longer boot time than normal (happened about twice). Aside from that I haven't found any programs I wanted to run that didn't work on Vista.
