Other countries are defended because people like to bring up horror stories of other countries to make ZA look better, but meanwhile we have those very same problems on a much larger scale :rolleyes: So no point in trying to emphasize the good of ZA when it is so totally eclipsed by the **** that happens here. People mention fat kids and yobs in the UK, and Gordon Brown's boring speeches, but that does not change the fact that it's a 1st world country, which Africa will never be. ;)

But thats the actual answer...there's not 2 or 3...only one...how can you complain about a place and yet live in it...oh wait, they don't want you else where right?LOL...not qualified? Too old? Not the right race? Too short? Too tall? Oooh, even better, maybe too fat? Or too skinny?

Its like sitting in a public toilet, complaining about the smell and the fesis on the pot, lol, and then sitting on the pot and using it Mila..sies. skaam jou!

In your own words you described your country as a toilet with shyte around the rim, oh but i forgot it’s oke cause thatnk GAAWWWDDD!!! were not the UK.

Problem is when your only choice is to sit on that sif pot, and you do so in silence knowing full well that someone is being paid to provide you with a clean pot ... and in spite of all their promises, you still have no choice but a sif, smelly pot.

I do agree with KARKCARAHOLIC though to a certain extent - You either have to bury your head in the sand and ignore all the cr@p (for the sake of you own sanity) or move on to a better place, cos let's face... there's f-all the man on the street can do to change the way things are in ZA right now. And the situation is not improving

ALFAHOLIC, you fail. It is completely within her rights to complain about the country she lives in, the same way I do. Moving is sometimes not an option, for the simple reason of not finding suitable employment that will enable you to have a similiar type of lifestyle, leaving dependant relatives behind, financial constraints, etc etc. It's never a matter of if you don't like it, get out or shut up. Jesus. I thought this was pretty obvious, but clearly not.

Anywhere else should be much better than in current SA...not so?

I'm sort of neutral on ZA, though i do see myself out of it in the next 3 yrs max. But i'de not impose my reasons for it on others. Compared to a lot of other countries we get away with little in terms of natural and political disasters and have a high-standard of living here. so its really personal choice rather than "mass exodus required"
