Why are there no laptops with SSDs?

I had no idea there was traditional and NVMe SSDs. Thanks for this info. Thanks for the other suggestions.

Quick query, why does every store only sell laptops with HDD when SSD is the new tech?

I'm patiently waiting for a laptop with an SSD already built in but sadly, can't find anything locally yet. Anyone?
Lol, my last 2 Dell work laptops came with SSD.

All current MacBooks have SSD's in.

You need to look a bit harder. Plenty of laptops with SSDs.

All Macbook Retinas have SSD drives.
Where have u been hiding all these years?
As for pc laptops, stores will try to sell their old stock so be careful and ask for a model that has a SSD. There are tons of models out there

I cloned my HDD and put in an SSD. 6 year old Lenovo Thinkpad still going strong.

Was looking at the Lenovo X1 carbon fibre, but doubt my boss will want to drop 30k on a laptop upgrade :p.

Friend bought an Acer thin aluminium thingy from Makro with a 512GB SSD. OP must just exit his cave.

Typing this on a Lenovo W540, came from the factory with a 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD. No optical drive though.

Hey

Let us know what you end up buying. :D

I also looked into SSD's but the it goes way overbudget for me.
Its also tragic how many laptops out there have more USB 2.0 ports and sometimes just one USB 3.0.
Also the screen resolutions are terrible. A FHD screen is a rare one and the price goes significantly higher when it does have one.

Laptop buying blues.... Its hard to get a perfect spec and design, always a compromise somewhere.

Give the guys at www.computersonly.co.za a shout , i recently brought a new laptop from them and they upgraded the hdd to a ssd for me and they reloaded the software for me too ,all i had to do was pay and collect and it was ready to go.

Lol, is this a troll thread? It's not friday yet.
