Why are we still waiting for good cellular coverage?

MTN working swimmingly here by me
Cell C.. yeahwellnofine sometimes
TM a wee bit better. sometimes you even get a secondbar while doing a bit of yoga

Vodacom? 404.

In all of this, where does virgin mobile fit in? Where & how does virgin mobile operate? Why do they still exist?

They are a VMNO, the V standing for Virtual, meaning that they don't have their own network but piggyback on another mobile network operator (Cell C).

Ok that sums it up all I didn't know that's their business model

Never mind my own property, I can barely get anything with my 8ta sim card.

Define good signal?
I get sufficient signal but it can be better. VC and MTN...

Just listening to a debate in the UK on Radio 4 about the imminent death of the traditional phone which prompted a lot of responses about the lack of cellphone coverage, poor signal etc

It was also mentioned that a bundled voice line is still a requirement for most broadband providers

Must say my MTN gets better signal almost everywhere compared to VC.
What's even more amazing is when people outside SA call our radio stations and it's clearer and better than if we call ourselves

Mtn I dont know what you guys are doing, but inside my house no signal in Brackenfell, My Telkom LTE connection works just fine...Strange but True, porting my number to Telkom shortly, BRB
