Why Bill Gates prefers Android over iOS

Microsoft founder Bill Gates has confirmed he is still an Android smartphone user.

This was revealed in a recent interview with journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin on the growingly popular audio chat app Clubhouse.

Gates has previously spoken about his preference for Android, which is why Sorkin was curious to know if it had changed given that he was speaking on an app currently only available on iOS.

In other words, Bill Gates prefers Xiao Na versus Siri listening in on him.

He just cannot afford Apple, hence why Android. There has been numerous forums on IOS vs Android, and this confirms it, Apple is for the rich.

He uses Android for the same reason that I do: we can't afford Apple

Can't support the competition.

Cause they ****ed up Windows Phone royally?
Tbh, if they had actually fixed the flaws like separate volumes for audio when earphones in or not, actually made it worthwhile to support it, the actual experience on their phones was pretty good. It was just this stupid little things that made it terrible to use.

Their attempt to partner with Samsung is going really well though.

I thought Apple and Google was
MacOS vs Windows.

All three are competitors. Google have taken a lot of market from MS. More so than Apple.
Nope. MS has always just been crap at copying anything google does. I've yet to see google take market share from MS's main products.

Mac failed and windows won the early PC wars. Since those days they've never threatened Windows dominance. In fact Bill and Steve were good buddies and Steve gave them some business.

Microsoft dominated the browser space before Google showed up and shoved them off and they're struggling to rebuild it.

To be fair Microsoft have never been very good at carving out market where there's a lot of competition. The only success they've seen is Azure outside of their traditional software space. They must kick themselves for failing to capture search and let Google come along and take it right out their mouths

Meh, Google and MS compete more directly with each because they are software companies. Apple is mostly hardware.
Different sectors. Just because they are both software doesn't mean they compete. That's like saying dentists and physios are competing because they are both medical.

That's news to me. You've taught me that IE was used for more than just downloading FF and Opera.
