Why Did You Marry?

Married because I loved her and wanted to be with her forever. As with all marriages or relationships its had its ups and downs but overall has mainly gotten better over time. Glad my marriage is strong, and really feel for those hurt or broken by divorce which is also very common I know these days and can leave massive long term problems especially if kids are involved. Still, I encourage marriage, just don't rush into it. Get to know each other first.
 
Not married yet, but been together for almost 9 years now. Getting married soon, but will be a private thing just for the 2 of us and 2 witnesses lol. Doing it for legal reasons as being in a same-sex relationship with homophobic parents if something happens to either of us, we don't want the parents to get involved in keeping the other way from whatever is happening (hospital or worse).

We've been together 20 years now. Did the civil union thing for legal purposes and that will be exactly 12 years on Saturday.

We didn't need to get married but if I could spend another seven lifetimes with him I doubt even that would be enough.

Because I love her. It is as simple as that.

I will cap out the amount of space in a post if I had to enumerate all the reasons why I love her.

Our date was just confirmed :D Early January. Just us and 2 witnesses. Excitement is overwhelming right now.

Tomorrow is 19 years for me....
Met when I was 18, she was still in matric at 17... Following year we started seeing eachother "romatically" in March, got married in November, yes she was pregnant and yes her parents were super conservative and expected us to get married, but fact of the matter is, I would not have married her if I did not want to...
We are still best friends and even though there have been some tough times, we always came out stronger.
I love her to bits and can not imagine my life without her.
So I got married because I fell head over heals in love with a girl way out of my league and managed to get her to love me as well...

Not in my case... My wife would do it 5 times a day if I wanted to.... 19 years married tomorrow...
 
For me, it was considered normal to get married when you ready to move in together and play house.

We got married at the age of 26.
11 years now and we still running strong…
