Why do women like men.

Right here is my idea of the perfect man:

He mut have a great sense of humour, he must be intelligent, he must be respectful. I enjoy a man who can communicate and he must want to live life to the fullest. Sincerity is paramount. No need to lie. He must have a strong moral fibre and know right from wrong. Romantic to a degree but more importantly he must just be able to care about other people. Believe it or not, not all men are capable of that.

I hate guys who are arrogant, stupid, immature, insensitive and have no respect for themselves or others.

Looks aren't really that important as the way a man comes across is what makes him sexy not what he looks like. Best physical attribute would be eyes for me. I love my bf's green eyes. :)

Hmmm what else? What should they do? Be attentive and behave until the time is right to not behave :)

Yet by some witchcraft we, the anti-jocks you described, do not have scores of women after us.

The real thing that attracts you consciously or sub-consciously is self confidence. The only difference is that more often than not it's the jerks who emit the strongest sense of self confidence. It's also displayed more visibly in rich men, good looking men, jocks and comedians.

Don't worry - it's not your fault.

Yes self-confidence is important but we don't write guys off if they don't display it on the initial meeting. I prefer men who aren't afraid to voice their opinions. It's incredibly sexy when a guy says what he really thinks and isn't afraid of how people might react to what has been said. Now that is HOT. *drool*

Having said that, there are some who mistake good manners, kindness and avoiding conflict for a weakness.

Note: This refers to random unintentional altercations as opposed to standing your ground for a specific purpose.

...and then you add a little alcohol, and you have an instant arsehole :)

well, this is the thing, any guy with a strong confidence, good clothes and a will to put himself out there (isn't afraid to make a fool of himself) can get a girl... If you chill in the corner of a club there's no way a chick is gonna come up to you and talk to you, even if you Brad Pitt...

I'm not really a good looking guy, yet I still pull a fair number of girls in a night simply because I put myself out there...

sadly I'm only good for the one night stands and not for the relationships lol, not sure why, might be due to the fact that I'm not very smart :p, but hey, does it matter :D

Hey if snotkoppie can get by so can you ;)

You're correct in saying that it's all about having game. Some have it, others don't...and those need to really work on it to get anywhere. Ergo it all boils down to self confidence once again.

I think men put way too much pressure on themselves. Women just want someone who listens to what they say and replies. We don't want someone who knows in depth quantum physics or someone who is funny like Chris Rock 24/7. We just want a normal guy who can say the odd funny thing, who knows who he is and who listens to what we say.

I know what you're saying.
