Why do you eat out?

I hardly eat out.


Mostly because I'm a vegetarian and an Indian, so don't really enjoy eating roasted veggies as a meal. I prefer my curries. I do enjoy going to Indian restaurants but that's once in six weeks or so.

Your options are severely limited as a vegetarian.

Spur steak is rubbish,usually very dry and the thick layer of sauce over it has to save it by masking how nasty it is.I once ordered ribs at spur and I will never try that ever again,came as thick under cooked blobs of fat without colour or flavour and almost impossible to bite.

If you want a good steak go to Jimmy's Killer Prawns in Fordsburg,I know it sounds counter intuitive to go to a prawn speciality restaurant to eat steak but honestly they are much better at making steak then they are at making prawns,and I haven't found anywhere yet that makes a more tender and juicy medium to well done rump steak.Their ribs are also quite nice,portion size is a bit dainty on the ribs but the quality is excellent which makes it worth it.

Yeah, I tend to assume that anyone ordering steak cooked longer than medium-rare doesn't really know much about steak.

Every restaurants idea of cooking level is not always the same at this particular place well done is definitely not nice and medium is too raw "medium to well done" has yielded fantastic results . I want some now!

i had a steak at jimmys a long time ago ..i also had a steak at adegas

never again cause indian owned resturants can never get steaks right

The steak at Adegas was not nice at all that's why I didn't mention it.... Go try the Jimmys in fordsburg now and let me know what you think. Jimmys in canal walk sucks btw so its not like all of them get it right with steak.
