Why doesn't anyone have stock????

I've been trying to find someone that has stock of this monitor Samsung 940BW 19" Widescreen and not a single place has stock...people aren't even sure when they're getting next stock...MAYBE next week they say. This is my last resort, anyone here know of any place in jhb/pta that has stock of it? I'm desperate..
 
We're into the new year. This is when manufacturers ship the new models. Nobody wants to be caught with last year's technology.
The new stuff is probably on the high seas somewhere.
 
feo, did you try phoning the distributors directly, Sahara/Tarsus?

If they have stock just ask em to point you in the direction of a reseller in your area who will be able to pick 1 up for you..
 
Most PC dealers are just lazy idotic box shippers who don't have any money to keep most things in stock.

Their sole contribution to the sale and earning their markup is lifting their one arm to reach for the telephone and call the S.A distributor of the product.
 
thats true

they tend to forget they are supposed to add value/support the products they sell at 50% markup or whatever..

suppliers may as well just sell to end users directly, as they land up supporting the products anyway
 
It must be hard for the dealers to get stock when many of the distributors are also closed during this time... just something to think about ;)
 
nivek yes ive phoned both sahara and tarsus and neither of them have stock. The guy at sahara even told me they had no stock of 15" and 17" which is also quite un freakin believable...how long does it take to get stock anyway. Reason im so impatient is that im on holiday and i wanna enjoy my lcd before i have to go back to campus..is that too much to ask?:(
 
lol, but remember that it's holiday's and very 10 to 25 your old has the same idea. that and there could be a stuff up with the shipping, and im sure the get there stuff from the same shipment. so maybe you should try other shops, or you could steal one, ;)

It's a definite personal conspiracy against you. They are holding out on bringing stock in order to simply annoy you. No other reason.
 
I've changed my mind and I'm rather getting an LG...holidays are long gone and suppliers are still playing games with me. *shakes head*
