Why DStv cannot offer individual channels

For years I’ve been paying 450pm for dstv premium through a loophole, I think at that price it is palatable. But I’d be more comfortable at 399. Sad part is that I simply can’t just cancel it because all the sports I want only broadcasts on supersport. While I can find some of it elsewhere, it’s just too much admin to sign up to multiple service providers and end up paying inconsistent amounts due to currency volatility, and I have to also deal with buffering and bad picture quality. On one side I have my mom who insists on watching crappy local productions that only air on the dstv platform.

In this particular case I think it's fair comment. MonoChoice are a despicable company and nobody likes them. Because of how they operate and their overpricing.

If you read the article and understand it, you would understand. Even your a'la carte menu items is bundled with something to increase the price and value, even if you did not want it. You cannot walk into Spur and say you just want to pay for the Steak and not the chips and onion rings.

The difference is that unlike the local Spur, MonoChoice are taking subscribers for a p03s

Always have to have an excuse, and a lame one at that.

They can do it. They simply won't!
Sky does it. In their case you get all of the potato channels for next to nothing and can then add the pork (movies), steak (kids) or lamb (sport) channels as your appetite desires. They even throw in free internet. What this also doesn't explain is why they can't supply their own individual channels like MNet, Kyknet or sport separately like we've been asking them to do.

They don't seem to be running it effectively.

That's the problem, they're trying to be Spur. At Spar I can buy the steak, chicken, chips or onion rings anyway I wish and it's still cheaper than Spur even for everything together if I so choose.

If you walk into Spur, and just want steak you are an idiot. Go get your steak at the local butcher.

Seems your Mum telling you to eat your veggies never stuck. Ooooof!!!

So Spur and every other restaurant should close because they are not run the way you two geniuses think they should be run?
