It's natural to feel protective.
Protecting him must be balanced with your boy exploring his world.

i know :)

another cute thing he does, is that he is only 3 years old but i've already taught him to play Battle City on the Nintendo and he is very good at it, and he kills a lot of tanks. he also knows how to use the computer now and plays Plants vs Zombies, Peggle, and he knows how to browse Youtube for video and how to open folders and files now. he taught himself all of this

I'm so defensive over him though, I'm ready to start going full out and be like the dad in Taken with kids that give him a hard time :erm:
"I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you" :p

Anyway, cute little kid you have, mate. I'm glad you're not letting what happened between you and his mother affect him adversely :)

The other day, coming home from word and as I was walking past the bathroom my 3 year old pops out and asks "Daddy did you mith me?" (she's got a lithp :) ) This morning she's lost in her own world while watching barbie or something and suddenly tells me "Daddy, you're the pwinth and mommy is the pwintheth" :D

You should introduce him to movies like Psycho, Silence of the Lambs, Friday the 13th ...

Actually all i watch these days is Mickey Mouse, Donald duck, Disney films, Lorax, Peppa Pig, bananas in Pyjamas, Ninja Turtles. It's not bad watching hem, but when you watch Hercules for the 22nd time because he REALLLLLY loves it... :erm:

He watched the Hobbit this weekend though, we used our projector to turn our lounge into a cinema and he sat there constantly saying "woooooow" while munching popcorn

What I love about my 4 yr old boy and 2 yr old girl: When they get into a massive argument consisting out of: "MY pappa!!"...NEE, MY pappa!!" Untill one or both start crying.

What drives me nuts? See above...

Also I have no more means of any visual entertainment. My boy hogs the TV and media player and madam watches Ms Kitty on my laptop. I sit and scratch my a$$ and wonder what the SuperRugby scores are.

The joys of parenthood.

My 4 year old beats me at COD Black Ops. The 9 year old beats me with his eyes closed.
