Why I miss having DStv

I cancelled my DStv subscription sometime at the end of 2014 when I briefly moved in with a friend while waiting for my newly acquired house to be completed.

Gareth? I thought your name was Dave.

Another advertorial. /sigh

Must be friggin lonely down in the depths of the gene pool. Can you guys not take a hint, or is this your way of generating traffic, no matter if it is bad?

Fcking opinion piece my @ss

Bought and paid for advert.

I have DSTV and these advertorials are so annoying and cringeworthy. I can just imagine what the people who do torrent and stream their media must be thinking about multichoice

F0k, not this again! :/

rpm gotta pay the bills...

cancelled Dumb Stupid TV nearly a year ago and I don't regret it 1 bit! would I go back - no chance in hell!

the freedom I have to watch whatever I want - when I want it with NO ADS / NO restrictive time slots / NO REPEATS! - not even if they gave me free life time dstv!!

I can forgive the guys from "buisiness tech" for writing an opinion peace like this.

clearly they care about business and not tech, now if this was written by someone sitting in the myBB office, it would be a shame.
if you work at myBB, you should not have a shoddy internet connection.
if you work at myBB it is your DUTY to the readers of your site, to test streaming services.

but mostly, if you work at myBB, you should be able to type into google "watch [sport event] live stream" into google, filter though the chaff, and find a way to get your fix of whatever it is that you watch.

but this is not writen by someone at myBB, its by business tech, who can clearly only copy and paste news articles, not do any real research on the content, beccause if they could do research, they would have exactly 0 issues with leaving DSTV, they would have found ways to solve the problems.

but business tech repeats things from other websites, so they enjoy the repeats that are on DStv, and will probibly say its a good thing because they cant always watch it when it is on the first time. again not an issue when you stream content, because you watch it when YOU want to not when DStv wants you too.

but its ok Dave, we forgive you.

Here we go again... Why is there never something like this by Roger, who says why he misses Streaming and Torrenting and all things lovely on the web?

So by the looks of the comments no one really read the story? As it doesn't really sound like the last one, it's just some guy musing on about how he misses laying on the couch chilling and the two streaming services don't meet his needs. He also really misses sports and doesn't want to become an alcoholic.

I did read it, and also thought it was neutral at first. The advertorialness is more subtle than with Dave's saga, but it's definitely there

If he said he'd hope back on it and wasn't afraid of the price, yes. But he didn't :)
