Why I'm going to vote DA

Wrong. I live in Cape Town, you do not. I try not to insult the person I'm debating with, which always allows for a more pleasant exchange.

If I worked for Microsoft, I would also be singing their praises, not matter whether the rest of the technical world can see their faults. Pinch of salt for the name-calling, claims and rants from a council official (alleged). Sourcing quotes from another forum is also not wise.

Welcome to the Ignore list. What a wonderful function to have.

Praise to forum admin.

Could someone PLEASE just put up a stop sign on this guy's street...
LOL. It's a SLOW sign and it's allegedly council policy not to replace these or paint them on the roads. What is amazing is that noone is prepared to admit it or confirm this. Like the DA is obsessed with showing everyone they are improving things, so proof that they have cut services is hidden.

Yet you go off at capetownguy, who lives in the city. He does not work for the city, and has stated as much. But you, sir, do not live in any other cities in this country so you have no idea what the situation is like there either. As such, you have absolutely no basis for anything you say. As such any argument you bring up is null and void.

Xenophobic intolerance will not aid the City of Cape Town, when tourism is such a big business in the Cape it is essential that outsiders opinions of the city are positive.

Now please stop insulting people who live and work in Cape Town, we have tried to give you a chance. You aren't at home now, insulting your brother or sister, you are on a public forum. Try to act like it.

He said he works in Corporate Actuarial. The implication was that it was for the city, since there's no company called that and he posts quotes and figures about city matters.

Suckyboy, even if I showed images of each road, street, and pavement being improved along with detailed tender documents you would not be happy.

You are just permanently unhappy and can't stand being wrong...but by now it seems you have become used to it.

The facts are above, read them or don't them.

Just a question slightly off topic:

Are other municipalities obliged to provide info on tenders or is it just cape town that is willing to share such info. Just wanting to know. Can it be made public when tenders expire as well?

Corporate Actuarial is a department not a company lol.

Don't bother, according to Suckboy: if you live in Cape Town you don't have a clue; if you don't live in Cape Town you don't have a clue. He is the one and only authority

Helen's comment today:

Helen Zille: We had an excellent rally in Middelburg this morning - despite disruptions from ANC supporters en route.

What is wrong with ANC supporters, honestly? Do they want another Zimbabwe (because according to sources they all hate Zimbabweans for fleeing Zim and stealing their jobs; of course these fools don't realise there is no where else to run to)?

If I was an ANC supporter, It would look like a good idea to maby vote DA.

Why?

Bacause if the DA wins, they will have to FIRSTLY spend time and effort on making all their promises to the poor (and the previously suppressed) a reality.

If they dont, they will never get another chance again.

BUT...... if I was an ANC supporter and vote again for the ANC......... things will just go on as usual and we will keep sliding backwards as a country. The ANC has nothing to loose and nothing to prove. According to them, they dont need to impress anyone anymore.

Maby thats why they rock up at formal parliament meetings in t-shirts and track suite pants.
