Why internet banking struggles on payday

Complex banking systems which process millions of transactions each day are bound to present hardware or software failures that lead to digital banking outages.
Which date of the month is that exactly? There are quite a few "paydays" every month.

I have never experienced this while paying staff, or banking on any of those days, with FNB.

All lying through their teeth. Fire the lot of them. Christine Wu is the weakest link.

ABSA went down because some dumbass made a change at 9am at month end to DNS.

No change management. No due diligence. No testing. No business continuity. Disaster recovery is insufficient as secondary capacity does not equal primary capacity.

The hardware and software works perfectly. Its the people who use it that are the id10ts with a bad workman always blaming their tools.

Voetsek katvis.

WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!

How does software and hardware "break" under strain? They aren't eggs. At worst there should be a bit slower processing.

Good response from Nedbank, yeah they've been down for unscheduled maintenance once or twice before and their airtime facility has been faulty before but never had faults during payday et al. personally.
