I might, when I have the crypto reserves to back up such a loan. Stacking my sats every month. Now use that to buy a house in South Africa...
It's because they rarely go down on month end.You can't have downtime if you don't have uptime...

People that earn real salaries, use real banks.
Que?The group reported that it added an average of 200,000 clients a month last year, with the bank also attracting higher-income clients and advanced better quality loans.
"Unscheduled maintenance", actually is...........fixing breakdowns.Good response from Nedbank, yeah they've been down for unscheduled maintenance once or twice before and their airtime facility has been faulty before but never had faults during payday et al. personally.
DDOS?
Ok point taken. But DDOS is about denying service. Data streams are flooded so legitimate requests can't get through or get dropped and does not typically crash a robust system. Must indeed be poorly designed if it can't handle a few extra requests.Stress testing is a thing.
The dynamics are different at high volumes. Not all software gracefully handles timeouts. Often you can't see the issues until you put it under strain.
Software dev for scale is a little more complicated than people assume.
Competent banks would suffice. If banks took a good look at themselves and changed their business model and how their deliver services etc. they could be more than enough. I like the benefits of banks like the protection against money being stolen etc. But i suspect they might go the way of Musica and dstv soon if they don't stop being douchebags reliant on archaic bloated systems than can't even seem to manage certain transactions over the weekend,Another reason why blockchain is better than banks.
Oh...you were seriousThey seem reasonable to me. https://builtin.com/blockchain/lending-loans-borrowing-mortgages
I still struggle with why machines pay attention to human holidays.Competent banks would suffice. For if something goes wrong, there is a lazy human to assist.I still struggle with why machines pay attention to human holidays.
I know that digital is very helpfull in certain technical applications(contained), and can be reliable depending on manufacture and power stability as well as moisture presence, however where its implemented with intention of steering and control practises relying technically on processing power and huge bandwith between and within, I cannot help to see the fail coming the more is added and cross complexed.
Imagine the New Modern Car syndrome where after time you can throw it away nobody wants to work on it and no spares available, continuous replacements, huge waiste of resources, this is something that is ideolised but the waiste is just to huge for a scale at 7 Billion people on the planet to sustain reliably and resonably.

The Americans have some of the biggest waists.I know that digital is very helpfull in certain technical applications(contained), and can be reliable depending on manufacture and power stability as well as moisture presence, however where its implemented with intention of steering and control practises relying technically on processing power and huge bandwith between and within, I cannot help to see the fail coming the more is added and cross complexed.

In the beginning 1992+ the picture of expansion looked rosy beyond everybody just saw piles of money coming, but as it expands grows and complicates as a result it will become more clear.
Of course, I was only referring to payday breakdowns in this, compared to say, Standard Bank having an almost regular downtime on a monthly basis."Unscheduled maintenance", actually is...........fixing breakdowns.

Capitec is adding over 200,000 clients a month as it continues to show strong growth
Capitec has published its annual results for the year ending 29 February 2020, with the group once again showing strong growth.businesstech.co.za

We can only hope...the rest above is just corporate word salad and gibberish. good luck with getting that past all the red tape.I might, when I have the crypto reserves to back up such a loan. Stacking my sats every month.
Yeah, and it doesnt bother me at all you cant see it, the longer folks like you dont see it, the longer I can stack sats at a reasonable price.Oh...you were serious
I never dissed your slow distributed database idea.Yeah, and it doesnt bother me at all you cant see it, the longer folks like you dont see it, the longer I can stack sats at a reasonable price.
You mean that distributed database governments cant stop that has more market capital than the largest 6 banks in the world combined. Yeah that.I never dissed your slow distributed database idea.
