Several FNB customers have taken to social media to voice their frustrations with PayShap, a payment service, after experiencing delays in transactions. The issue seems to have started on Sunday, August 4, 2024, with many users reporting that their funds were debited from their FNB accounts but never reflected in the recipient’s account.

A common theme among the complaints is the apparent lack of communication from both FNB and PayShap regarding the delays. I experienced a similar issue. I sent money via PayShap from my FNB account, and while the amount was debited, it has yet to reflect in the recipient’s account.

What's going on really?

I have the same problem and it doesn't look like the will reverse my money back to my account 😒

PayShap is run by BankServe. BankServ doesn't want to deal with us; they direct us to our respective banks. I've now lodged 2 separate complaints with FNB. I'll approach the ombud should they not refund me.
