Why is Telkom so utterly pathetic?

So with my ADSL order stuck in a Telkom black hole I've decided to use LTE smart broadband wireless.

So I got a sim today and told the lady at the Telkom shop to configure it for smart broadband wireless.

Guess what? When I check it now it is on Telkom more and all attempts to try and change it through *180# fails.

This is the most useless worthless POS company ever.

Do not attempt to fight it. Cancel, if you can. And slowly withdraw from any dealing with Telkom that requires you to engage with ANY consultant.
For your own sanity.

you will need to call and call again to the call center till you reach someone who actually knows their work..

this when you know BEE has failed

I'm seriously very disappointed with Telkom; I knew they had issues with their fixed line business, however, I have been with their mobile division for a few years and didn't really experience issues, except that the call centre is totally clueless - whoever came up with the bright idea of outsourcing the call centre to people who know absolutely nothing about the business and its products, should be shot.

I have been recommending their mobile division but will no longer do so, as I have discovered that they are cheating me (after being cheated by all the others, it was quite a relief when I found that Telkom Mobile (as opposed to Telkom Fixed, was not cheating me, but, now they too have fallen into greed and corruption).

I guess that only leaves Rain left to try - hopefully they also won't get up to **** - thereafter, there's no other provider left.

{SIGH} Will we ever (as a nation) get out of this hole of greed and corruption?

So how'd you get cheated?

Ordered a Telkom line to be installed in a flat. This back in April. Still waiting for job to be done (damaged cables somewhere). In the meantime, receiving invoices for R785 a month. Balance due is now R 3925. Telkom accs say I must pay and request a credit. Then they threaten to cut the service. When I ask what service, I am told it was supposed to be installed in April. They have not even allocated a telephone number to the account. Have 5 different reference numbers which they say will be sorted in 2 days...! What utter BS
