Why Microsoft Edge is better than Chrome and Firefox

Adblock themselves list a myriad of bugs in what they have openly stated is early beta support for Edge. Missed that did you ?

Based on the feature set.

If you want stripped down and efficient but limited, Edge is your thing.

It's the Toyota Prius of browsers at present, but if you follow your cars you will know that a) the Prius is quite **** and b) some diesels with all the bells and whistles return similar real world results and offer plenty of options and features.

Hope you followed that.
 
I would bet my MacBook running Chrome would outlast any Windows machine with the same battery/cpu running Edge. Browser is only one factor.
 
I dont really care what browser I use as long as it ticks all the boxes I want, currently chrome is the only one that does that well.
I know firefox has synch capabilities but they are not as good as chrome, I need a browser that stores all of my bookmarks and user/pass info across all of my devices, edge definitely doesnt do that.

Chrome is that lumbering big 18 wheeler with all the lights and horns but carrying nothing and just pissing everyone off whilst driving at 10km/h
 
I actually asked in other thread which is the better one. I'm using Edge now for a little bit, and its quite quick to load pages. However, I use youtube a lot, and with adblock I don't get those annoying ads popping up in the middle of watching a video.
 
The MS Fanboi force is strong in this thread.

Anyhow, I have a MacBook and Win 10 ultrabook. Both are great, both are better at some things than others.

Safari is super and my favourite, Chrome is very good with excellent extension support which makes for a highly customizable browsing experience, Edge is pretty fast, but stripped down, young and improving, albeit bloody slowly.

That's very far from the truth to the extent the developers themselves know how far they need to go.

:wtf: it works as it's supposed too and I haven't experienced any issues even amid the issues from the Adblock beta.
You said the support was basic, yet I have the same functionality as Chrome and FireFox.. I refuted such.

Also pretty sure that the Chrome and FireFox versions have bugs themselves albeit not as many because it's been on the platform for years :rolleyes:

Way back in thread 27 I suggested those that criticise Edge do so in a scientific way which will then open the door for a debate on what "features/attributes" other browsers have that make them better or appear better than Edge.

No one want to take up the challenge?

Hence the conclusion is the comments are all very subjective.

Most of us "like" the browser we are most comfortable with and "know" the best, and, when we use that browser, we tend to overlook and ignore any limitations that may be present anyway.

And then of course it is "fashionable" to always attack MS .....

So in the end, those with an open mind will be prepared to try new things and try and be objective in their evaluation process.

It is difficult to me accept browser that do not allow to drag URL over the 'Edge'. This is basic functionality. I don't won't to depend on favorites, as it gets easily vanished and I keep different link sets in separate folders, together with downloaded files.

Beside of above, good browser do not exist without stable platform, which Edge do not have.

Thanks for the response, appreciated.

I have no hassles in dragging a URL over the "Edge" when using MS ? I also do not have any problems in creating new folders under favourites? Yes it is different from the way it works in IE 11 and Chrome but that is all.

Could you be more specific in what you are experiencing please.
