Why should I vote ANC?

Well...... in the 20th century western medicine brought about lower infant mortality rates in sub-Saharan africa and longer life expectancy.
These trends appear to be reversing in the 21st century.
If you truely believe so then why not give AA/BBBEE a chance. 15 years could never have reversed close to 400 years of subjugation and oppression.

Because AA/EE is not the answer. Discrimination (which it is disregarding any past history) based on skin colour is still racism. As long as racism is alive there will be animosity and that causes problems on both sides of the fence.
Education (I'm sure most of us could get a senior certificate and a bachelor's degree in 15 years) is a non-racial, equal opportunity answer that will ultimately lead to a more harmonious society.
And I agree 15 years of AA/EE could not reverse 400 years, but 15 years of equal opportunity education (which has not happened) would have started showing the fruits of its labour and in just 5 years we could expect a massive turnaround in workplace diversity more in line with the population; especially at entry level, which leads to the upper echelons.
This has not been done, so there will always be AA/EE. As such, there will always be racism. Which ultimately means there will always be some level of hate between the races.

I'd like to question that argument. WHY would we not be able to reverse X number of years of anything in 15 years.
BTW, where does 400 come from now??

Hey, don't look at me, I was just clarifying. You might as well sue the northern African tribes for everything they did to the local southern Africans a thousand years ago.
It seems to me the Europeans were just more arrogant, efficient and advanced in their methods - that's what seems to have pissed this continent off.
Actually the Africans had been warring for land and territory for thousands of years, imprisoning and murdering one another. That was fine, then the Dutch arrived and said: "Sorry, its nothing personal, its just business". Then it became a problem :/

Vote for the ANC?
There is little the ANC have done that would convince me that they were the party I should vote for.
Every time Mbeki blamed the "whites" for his and his parties incompetence I made up my mind he was a racist and that alone would prevent me from voting for the ANC.
Every newspaper I opened showed the only "success" of the ANC government, gross and often criminal incompetence. Now even gross incompetence and the inability to meet its own previous election promises is claimed as a victory. I can't and will not vote for incompetence.
Every time the ANC steamrollered another Act through parliament despite knowing it was flawed and probably had unconstitutional clauses the ANC convinced me a majority that abused its power was not the party I would vote for.
When In 2000 the ANC abused its majority to pass the Firearm Control Act and claim it would reduce crime and the supply of guns to criminals I knew they were not worthy of my vote. That the ANC had crossed the line and become no different to any other political party in Africa. A party that had tyranny and despotic intentions on its mind. The FCA has not put one criminal behind bars or removed one illegal firearm from criminal hands but it allows the ANC at the stroke of a pen to take your only means of defence from you while they still have all their 100 tons of arms caches they never handed over for destruction.
With the increasing arrogance in which the ANC treats the electorate knowing it will still be in power when Jesus comes the ANC does not need my vote. I sure as hell am not going to give it to them.

The most scary part of watching the US election campaign was watching the indoctrinated mouth or say three words "yes we can". If that did not scare you then possibly you need to improve on your knowledge of propaganda and learn to recognise indoctrination when you see and hear it.
I am surprised at the incredibly small percentage of people who actually realised that. I guess it is not a subject taught in schools yet. The ANC are not slow though.
