Yup, I was on track for 9 units a day, but the last couple of days with thick clouds have pushed it to 10units a day, it's amazing how averages work out :-(

We are averaging 3.3kWh/day from CityPower according to our inverter which is good but I know we can do better.

Weather has been good to me so far 1 maybe 2 days of bad weather for March. Total Grid usage for March so far = 16kWh
grid usage for Feb = 6.7kWh

My geyser and stove/oven are still on CP, seems that 30% figure for geyser can be right, we also had people working from here as they had no power for a few days and they couldn't afford petrol anymore.

Our geysers and oven are on the non-essentials side of our inverter but if there is good PV the inverter back feeds to our main DB to power them which saves a lot of power having to be bought from CityPower. We did have a long outage this last weekend and my brother, his girlfriend and my parents staying with us so used 45kWh from CityPower over 3 days.

Sun's out, Batteries are charging. Slight breeze in the air. Sight of relief. Today will be a good day.
 
At our primary residence we used a total of 16.5kWh eskdom unit's for the month of March.
That's approx R52 worth of prepaid units.
We don't pay any electric levie where I stay.

Our beach house we used a total of 2 Eksdom kWh units.

Our guest house used approx 194 Eksdom units.


Guesthouse upgrade happening soon. Taking it off the grid completely.
 
Quite foggy today. Not generating much atm. Hopefully the sun will come out after 9 or 10am.

However, couldn't care less what it is and what it is not. It is an alternative because of a corrupt and incompetent government and it gives us electricity. What you think it is or is not and how you feel about it means nothing and I couldn't care less.
