Nowadays I just keep my iPhone 3G in my pocket when the guys at work whip out their Galaxy S2's.

The 3G looks dated I'll agree, especially the screen resolution. Once I moved over to the 4 I really started appreciating the retina display when I picked up a 3G again. It's also suffering from neglect in the App Store. A number of app updates are not available for it.
I've lined my 4 up to a SGSII and while it certainly is an impressive phone, it just feels a little to big for me. I'm really happy with the 4's dimensions. The screens are equally good IMO. Considering Apple only release on average 1 phone a year I can understand people being annoyed the 4S looks exactly the same. If I were due for upgrade I'd happily take a CPU and camera bump in specs, but I'm definitely not buying it cash.

There is exactly one thing disappointing in this: the number "4". If Apple had put a carbon fibre backplate on it and called it "5" we'd all be dancing in the streets.
The really disappointing news is that the iPod Touch has not been updated AT ALL. I was hoping for a 128 GB model.
EDIT: Oh, I forgot:
- Faster processor
- Longer battery life
- 64GB option
- Runs on both GSM and CDMA networks - useful for travellers
- Siri (well, we have to see how that works in the real world)

I was really hoping that the iPhone 4S/5 design would mimic the new iPod Touch and Apple would do away with the "stocky" design.
Let's hope it will be so next year.
