Change is seeping into our consciousnesses and Hope is entering our lives like amber rays dispelling the murk of a drugged sleep, the one which we endured so helplessly, so long.

The problem with trying to discuss this issue is that it keeps getting dragged down by irrelevant rubbish rather than discussing the actual issues, like what the candidates believe and vote for and the policies they would enact/repeal.

My opinion on Obama, based on interviews etc on the main news networks, is that he says what people want to hear (JZ) and I do not like that too much. I wonder if he is his own man or a puppet to some masters! The yanks should have gone for Hilary.In the end it will be business as usual from an American president. Those getting excited thinking he will change things will be dissapointed. He will want to be re-elected in 5 years and will have the interests of Americans as his no 1 priority.

Given his voting history, I think if he becomes president it is likely that we will see some positive changes from the current mess that Bush has created, and that McCain will continue.

That irrelevant rubbish is deliberately put out there by the campaigns though, particularly Obama's which focuses on the hope and change rhetoric rather than real policies.

Probably just that I disagree with some of his policies on subjects like abortion, civil liberties etc. rather than anything else. Then again there's a lot on Obama's side that I don't agree with too, as I said no good options.
