Why users have such different experiences in Window 10

With over 90 000 different PC/tablet models running Windows 10, the challenges are bogglngly immense

"As I have watched the progress of Windows 10 on the desktop and on mobile over the last 11 months it is amazing to see the breadth of experiences from users who are running the same build of the operating system and apps.

"...Some users report solid performance and very few issues while others feel forced to revert to their previous version of the OS in order to gain back core functionality. On the mobile side there are users who are on the same build, same hardware and same firmware yet they have widely different experiences.

"... This article is an attempt to lay out what might be behind it but let me say this ahead of time – it is a very hard thing to nail down and it could feasibly be a combination of any of these factors."

Yup, definitely like android.

My 1mb devices are showing the strain when I upgraded to lollipop. The ones that are running KitKat are still running smoothly. This is despite the processor type/speed difference

Indeed it's a variable. On the one PC I've upgraded I've so far had no issues, on another one i can't even open the settings app it just doesn't come up at all, on the other PC i can't find any compatible graphics drivers...

Microsoft also just don't listen.
I was in the beta thing for windows 10.
Found a couple bugs, submitted them all officially and everything (took quite a while).
Found out that some of them already existed in windows 7 and 8 (proof that 10 is just a big patch not actually a new OS).
They didn't even reply or confirm my submission and the bugs all still exist.

Shoddy shoddy work.

You do know the preview is still going on?

Been using it with no issues so far. I came from using Windows 8 with Classicshell so it wasn't that much of a change.

Apparently they only reply to tell you they fixed the bug.
