At the moment we are finding Kaspersky to be the least problematic of all the solutions we've wasted money on.
Last year, the Norton's AV I deployed left much egg on my face.
When we tested AVG 8 against a selection of contemporary malware, it identified 22 out of 28 threats, while the A-Listed Kaspersky Antivirus 7 spotted 24.
AVG was the best anti-virus in my eyes, until v.8.0
I second that motion - I loved their product, until 8.0's shenna****ns

I have used previous versions of AVG, but somehow I never came away impressed. It always seemed sluggish, and many things slipped through it's scanner. Despite that, I told people at my work to use it, as it was still better than Norton. I haven't used version 8 yet and don't really intend to.
I later heard about Avast, and after using it at home, I'm sold. It's not system resource heavy, update files are small, and it has a great detection rate. I'm now telling everybody to use it instead. It's free like AVG, but unlike AVG, doesn't have adverts all over the show telling you to buy it. You barely even know it's a free version.
AVG is in danger of possibly becoming another Norton, and that's a sad thing.
