Wi-Fi issues preventing Wi-Fi Calling

My new Samsung A20 (when connected to my Wi-Fi) does everything (e.g. Google) perfectly - except for Wi-Fi Calling.

OTOH Wi-Fi Calling works perfectly when connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot created using the technician’s cell-phone.

I have tried every combination – down to an open access point – on my router: thus far nothing works.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Few things:

Who is your ISP?
Have you tested another wifi calling phone on your network?

Try to put it in flight mode and connect to the wifi network and see what happens?

The problem was caused by an obscure (to me) setting on my Billion router. A Google returned the following suggestion (that solved the problem) from Billion U.K.:

Try disabling the IPsec ALG option found under 'Configuration >> NAT >> ALG'

The odds of me finding that solution are roughly minus zero.

i had found with my Note 9 and Note 10 + , devices etc ,on the Vodacom Network ,
i switch to Airplaine mode and then switch to wifi on .
Also wifi calling should have been enabled .

Wifi calling icon appears in top status bar .
I can make wifi phone calls ,sms etc .
Receive calls etc .
Works fine every time ..!!!
Note , your phone must be able to do wifi calling and it must be enabled .
Also depends on Service provider .

i did not "touch /configure "anything on my router /wifi device etc .
Also i tested this on 2 x different routers etc, without config anything ,,,only above procedure ..!
Absolutely no issues ...!!!!
Wifi calling works 10 out of 10 times ...for me ..!!
