Wide Angle Lens suggestions

I think ive settled my mind on the Sigma 18-35 even though its only for APS-C. Luckily im heading to new york next month so im hoping to pick one up there!
Surprisingly it's more expensive than the Canon 17-40 f/4 L.

And don't forget to add sales tax to those prices you see online.

No you dont.

The one you do have is pretty expensive. If I had to do it all over again I'd probably have got the 17-40 f/4.

:o

Sorry, meant to say 16-35mm

Great lens. I use it for landscape work. You can't put any filters on it and you need to learn to work with the distortion... I don't think the OP is looking for something quite that wide however. He was talking about a 50mm in his original post.

Also love it! And use Lightroom to correct distortion.

Oh - just saw the 'wide angle' heading and thought I'd contribute.. 50mm not really wide angle at all...

Also got a nifty fifty though.. also live it! It's just a 1.8 though..
