Wierd Disk Boot Failure

Hi,

After installing windows 7 i continued to go on to install my drivers, which was a mission with all these compatability issue things, basically i had to install everything twice, because the first time failed and then it offered to do it for me compatibility wise.

Anyways after i rebooted to let the drivers take effect i got a Disk Boot Failure, Insert A System Disk To Continue... wierd. So i thought ok, its just something with the drivers, so i restored to before i had them installed, still gave the Disk Boot Failure. So i then continued to format and reinstall windows and still i get the Disk Boot Failure. So now everytime i want to boot my pc i have to have the windows disk in my drive, which is annoying because i dont have a cd drive in my pc, i just had one there temporarily to install windows.

Does anyone know why this happened, or of a possible fix, this would be fantastic. By the way i never got these errors before i installed the drivers.

well if i can make any suggestions to any others interested in installing windows 7, be careful with what you do to it, otherwise you may end up stuck like me with your case open and a dvd-drive hanging out the side =D

You need to set your boot disk in the bios I think. I had the same thing the other day with a Biostar board.

Maybe you took your windows install disk out to put your driver disk in and now it wont boot.

You never know.

sorry for the late reply.

nope it never worked, still the same problem, wierd. gonna try removing the drive all together tommorow and see what happens.
