Hey guys
Im hoping somebody can help me here.
I have noticed recently that when I use the Afrihost sim in my TP Link router I struggle to connect to the wifi on my iPhone 5 (and wife's 4S, and her iPad mini)
It will start the loading process and then just hang. I first thought it could be a problem with Apple, but I have done tests with my Acer laptop and it does the same thing. In a browser I will need to refresh and then it will load. Its almost as if the connection is idle and cant jump straight to work. Also just tested it on another Windows 7 machine...
Then I thought it must be settings on my TP Link, so I Googled the settings and frequencies that all my devices will use and it all matches up. I also tested it on a Planet router, same outcome...
I then did a test with a Telkom mobile sim, and a Vodacom sim and the issues disappeared.
This is very frustrating as I will need to disable and then enable wifi on the device every few minutes to connect again.
Any ideas from the clever folk here? I don't want to blame them until I have a better idea of what is going on. The evidence does seem to point to Afrihost being the culprit though...
