Wifi over a long range

I agree with Setsquare! We have found that the RB112 is just not able to handle heavy loads as well as the 532 can. But we are going all out and are slowly changing our highsites to PC based routers at the moment! (Perfect use for that old pc u have lying around!!)

If he has two old PCs floating around, well that would answer his financial issue as well, but if its just a point to point connection between two friends I dont see a problem with the 112.

Agreed, point to point for two people on an RB112 is fine - We obviously have a LOT more traffic to contend with in Jawug, and have found that the RB112 is just not up to the task.

The Wrap2c is also a very nice piece of hardware, and seems to handle the punishment very well.

Thanks for all the feedback, you guys have being quite a help.

Last question (For now :D ):

If I wanted to setup a WISP in my complex for to 10 - 20 people using a adsl connection, what would the licensing requirements be, and what are the legalities behind this?

Thanks

Well in short you will need to aquire a licence from ICASA. Not an easy job, unless there is allot of bucks in it to justify the effort allow the thought to slowly pass.

Trust me you will be allot better off at the end of the day.
