Yeah, luckily my iPad 3 has wifi hotspot, and it's gonna get Siri, and a better camera. Many other issues can be resolved with a Jailbreak. It depends on your needs though - I am ok without a JB.
I found/find Honeycomb to be technically quite disappointing. The browser felt much worse, didn't render pages as accurately, or zoom as quickly. The Mail app was severely lacking, most apps are/were just blown up phone versions or have obnoxious ads, apps like Pages, Numbers, Garageband, Tweetbot, iBooks, Magazines and all the games aren't as cool on Android - again my opinion.
But sounds like Android might be better for you, but try for at least a Android 4.0 Tablet, the Galaxy Tab still has Honeycomb (!) The Galaxy Tab II has ICS but is identical to the Galaxy Tab, (which doesn't make much sense), but rather get that. Or an Asus Transformer Prime - you get a Retina class display, if it ever arrives.
