I'm referring to my freedom of movement, alcohol, and smoking bans.
I fully understand the impact on the lives of others and the economy.

I just DGAF any longer. I regularly drive past midnight, don't wear face diapers and don't go a mall if they want to spray me with their horsepiss bottle or aim a dirty thermometer at my face.

How many countries have removed their lockdown/state of emergency/crisis completely?
Most of them. Those with integrity and respect for their citizens only had initial lockdowns in order to gain perspective on the situation. All of the countries I've been travelling to over the last few months have been completely open, free to move, no masks in most, and definitely no curfew.

I suspect as with so many things ANC related it will formally remain in effect far too long while the rest of SA largely ignores it, the same way we do ETolls, TV licenses, etc. The government will dig their heals in because of the widespread disregard for their idiocy, and due to their own incompetence and arrogance.

So practically, yes it will end, will the government actually announce that, I doubt it. Where it is easy to enforce like an international airport there will be motions to show its alive but workarounds will be found. In the rest of the economy good luck, no one will listen anymore.

People should toyi toyi and burn tyres in the streets and loot...
Then we will get what we want...
Who is going to stop us?

Unlikely to go to any sort of actual lockdown (i.e. closing of hospitality sector or limitation on leisure travel) before 17 December 2021 as the Eastern Cape workers in the Western Cape go home for Christmas. This is a big thing for traditional ANC supporters.

The one that forces me to be home by midnight.

The one that forces me to wear a mask wherever I go.

The one that dictates when I can buy booze.

The one that bans cigarettes on a whim.

You’re so used to your freedoms being restricted you don’t notice it anymore.
This ^^^^

And they chuck you out of shops if you don't face diaper... which is so ironic.... willing to listen and comply with the wishes of a commie government over loss of business..
AH look, a literal dick head

With 602 days of lockdown behind us already, and the current extension set to expire mid-December, do you think lockdown be over for Christmas?

From an update I asked from an epidemiologist on 8 November about the fourth wave:

"So far the general thought is that we may see the start of the fourth wave in late December/early January, but that can change very quickly."

There are many factors that will determine the size and precise timing. One is the number of vaccinated people.

We are also seeing the Sisonke vaccinated health staff near the end of their 6-8 month time limit as their immune systems start to wane.

Commies are living the dream, they love this ****, no thinking needed, no personal responsibility, just doing what they're told, gov takes care of everything. They'll only start to wake up when their kids are crying begging and eating lizards in the garden
