No they don't. We are not dealing with a mathematical equation or a historical fact but with statements or opinions. This entire board is manically obsessed with proof for every statement.
Because without having to prove a point, anyone can claim anything at all. Do you really want this forum to become an echo chamber of idiots agreeing with each other without any critical thought?
Proof of claims made is how to prevent that situation.
Yeah or we'd all fall into the conservatard way of thinking that facts matter less than feelings/opinion on a subject
Facts matter when they are relevant. Like how many murders per capita per country. The topic of this thread is not something you can quantify with a number or "proof" but rather people's observations of events and how they perceive them.

Facts also matter if you're attempting to explain how you came to a conclusion, even if it's your own opinion. Like saying
"Modern day liberalism is doing its level best to become outright fascism"
Especially when it's a crock of ****.
Prove your statement with facts, not statements of opinion!:crylaugh:

Now please prove to me that "modern day liberalism is not trying to become outright fascism".
I refer you to post #16![]()
Another statement of opinion. yeah right!
I refer you to post #16![]()
Lol. And this is how the right debates. "You can't prove this nonsense I'm talking is nonsense."
Post #16 asks for proof of an opinion. I refer you to post #33.
Lol.

If the nonsense you are talking can be debunked then yes, it can be proven as nonsense. When people debate their viewpoints of events no proof is required. I think you are being obtuse, I could be wrong, but that is my opinion. No need for me to prove it.
My Perception is my reality.
What would suffice as sufficiant proof? Whatever arbitrary expectations you might have...
