They're also bloody expensive for what you get.I've never subscribed to them and likely never will.
They're very old tech. Their offerings are vey outdated.
Where do you get your info? They're also bloody expensive for what you get.
DSTV launched their satellite service in 95 dude.Where do you get your info?
They give latest movies, and still quite a few new series although that's limited to certain studios.
Digital Sat TV is hardly what you could call very old tech, only about 2 decades old.
Expensive only if you want to keep the good sport and M-Net, otherwise not really now.
Nasty parents?what do you call it when the account owner boycotts you?
Stream means digital stream over ip channels , not sattelite and not showmax. So basically, DSTV Now.Does a satellite feed technically count as a stream? If not, then only I stream DSTV on my Mi Stick and my parents use the actual decoder, so it's fine for me...
But anyway, it is kak. Because how would this work in a home with 4 family members with their own TVs in their rooms and they all want to watch DSTV on different channels? Why boycott DSTV over it tho? This is like when people smashed their DSTV decoders in support of Steve Hofmeyr a year or two ago (can't remember why), it's just stupid...
In conclusion, the answer is no
Ok cool, just wanted to make sure.Stream means digital stream over ip channels , not sattelite and not showmax. So basically, DSTV Now.
Not really stupid to boycott it. Satellite is limited by your LNB and decoders so multiple TV's require wires, cabling and kit. For example, my household has zero cabling for all the viewing including TV's, phones and tablets. So now if the kids want to watch something on Cartoon network or wife wants to catch a cooking show in the kitchen, I can't watch a movie in the lounge?Ok cool, just wanted to make sure.
I still stand by what I said after the question I asked...
No, not a stream so you're fine.Does a satellite feed technically count as a stream? If not, then only I stream DSTV on my Mi Stick and my parents use the actual decoder, so it's fine for me...
They offer XtraView which also doesn't count as a stream, but they charge extra for each additional independent connection in the residence (up to 3 decoders total).

Yes it is also them complaining here, because they all roofkykersBig vote base saying not a subscriber, interesting swing.
Depends on your interests. In our case, not looking to socially discuss shows only online, and get what we want without having to "stream and then lose it".It`s 2022 and people still watch dstv? No man.
There are some channels, news in particular for me, and sport for others which you cannot reliably stream elsewhere. And i don't want 10 apps, 5 NUC's and 3 pi's just to watch the news. It`s 2022 and people still watch dstv? No man.
