Of course, always, you can't bring about change unless you actually vote.
Sitting at home on your arse is the same thing as voting for the ANC.

I have been getting involved with the Blue party alot more in the last year
We are doing drives every second weekend or so, where we help people confirm that they are registered in the correct ward etc

The turn out has been really good, especially for the new voters. It helps, it will be better
Ah so you're one of those pests

I can prove mathematically that sitting on my arse, as you put it, is more productive for my own well being than wasting my time at a voting station where my vote will not count, because of the scale of the thing. Like shaving off one atom from a 1m piece of steel. The concept of these numbers and the scales are above most people's pay grade

OK go ahead and prove it please. In detail... here right now. With the requisite research please.

I know Durban is a post apocalyptic wasteland, but it doesn't constitute as another country.

There is a good chance Durban is going to get even worse once the ANC loses power, unfortunately. It is a Tshwane 2.0 possibility. The IFP/DA will just blame it on each other if not just blame the ANC.

Yes. Remember to vote anc. Only they can fix SA, end corruption once and for all and build smart cities with glow in the dark flagpoles!
Damn... I didn't know that. I will vote for them !!

The same argument that the ANC uses will apply to any coalition, by still blaming apartheid 30 years later. Except instead of "legacy of apartheid", it will be "legacy of ANC".

Also the coalition excuse may have more credibility, 30 years of complete destruction isn't going to be fixed in 5 years. The ANC inherited working infrastructure and didn't just fail to grow it, but actively destroyed it...

Been used in Tshwane. Actually, things got to an all-time low once the ANC lost power.

The argument will only hold merit if things get slightly better if not remain the same. If it gets worse as happened in Tshwane, it holds no merit.

Rather go draw a giant cock on your ballot than not vote at all.
Not sure why I'd draw a chicken on a ballot but they wouldn't give me one if I asked.
Imagine <25% of all ballots are spoiled! That will give our esteemed Politicians severe chest-pains.
No, it wouldn't.

Sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better. If the foundation of a house is beyond repair, you need to break it down and build from scratch.

All those entrenched cadres everywhere need to go, but that leaves a massive gap in service delivery which isn't going to be filled overnight...

No, it wouldn't.
Imagine the ANC again wins with <50% and the next runner-up percentage is spoiled ballots; I wonder how our electoral laws are meant to deal with such a situation? They cannot just discard those.
