I agree, even if the wireless antenna is a penis I have to wear on my forehead to make it work, I'll do it, just get is decent access already!!!

I think the important part is that ICASA should hand out the remaining spectrum already...and to companies who are ready to use it. Internet Solutions and MWEB springs to mind, but I am sure a company like Neology will take 20 MHz of ICASA's hands if they are asked nicely

The wire less home equipment should be able to change isp to isp! We should also be able to own it and set it up our selfs for free or incl on a contract. Then also wireless should be cheaper!! No telkom wires, so we want uncapped wireless 2mb for R500 max. Latancy is also screwing us for games, fix it please, the usa's wireless you can game smooth with out drops. When that happens I will ditch adsl the same day I hear about this offer.

the next doc from ICASA is ready for release (which means, i guess, that release is imminent)

- the 20MHz allocation will be increased to 30MHz i.e. instead if awarding 6 national licences in 2.6GHz they will look at 4
- BEE of 51% reduced to 30%

they will also apparently be launching a similar process with regard to 2.3 GHz shortly

[please note that we are probably still at least a year away from the first assignments and even that could go out to a couple of years if the lawyers are called in]
